Hey, on my autococker my egg sits in it. but it has about 2-3cm extra feedneck hanging out.... heres some pics of what i mean...

and another

and 1 more

The red line is showing where the feedneck goes down to once in the gun feedneck.

My Question is: Shall i sand down the feedneck to get rid of the extra space? or leave it how it is.

Cheers.

I sanded down and cut off the excess on my old egg. I fink they make them that long so their universal fit then you can cut them to the size your own feedneck. i had no problem sanding mine just make sure you do ur measurements properly. Also use 60 grit first then work your way up eg 80 grit. This gives it the best finish.

Cheers

Yea cut it roughtly, then sand it so its smooth an at the right length.

Go to homebase or somewhere an get sandpaper at 60/120/180/300/500 grit at the end the neck should be silky smooth!!

The only thing to watch out for is the location of the ball stack inside the tube. Put two balls into the feed neck, and put a small mark where they meet. Cut at that mark.
If you drastically chamber to balls resting position in relation to the eye, you run the risk of the loader turning on at random if the ball stack wiggles in the feed tube.

Pretty much. What you really don't want is the contact points between the balls to line up with the eye. That can cause the loader to turn on at random times, when the balls shift to the side, and no longer break the beam.
Other than that, there is about 1/4" either way, so it doesn't have to be super exact.

I always stuck an old barrel up in the raceway neck, then used a copper pipe cutter to cut the neck down. Fast, easy, and it did a clean job.
