Does anyone know, why the red led on a Y Board egg, might come on all the time the hopper is on?

Put a new battery in, you cheapo. And not the rocket ones from hyper value.....

It could also be a pinched wire.

It could also be trying to communicate with it's mothership.

Welll..see...Im no Cheapo...but, I buying one from someone on here, he sys it works fine, but oddly teh low batt light is on most of the time...apparently new batteries etc, make no difference....

Check the loom for pinched wires.


If thats fine check the tolerances on the resistors in the low battery circuit on the egg board

The first bit I can do...the second I probably good, if I knew what you ment...I hav access to some very advanced diagnostic equipment...but Im only familiar with its use in a work based envionment!

Somewhere on the board will be two resistors which go from the two terminals on the battery, those two resistors are the business components of the battery indicator circuit, it is possible that the tolerances of these resistors are making your low battery light switch on prematurely.

Just measure them with a multimeter, then compare to the value written on them.

If its way out, that is the cause of your problem.

Chances are they are low tolerance components anyway.
