Eggy Springs..please help!

I;ve bought a new lid for my eggy after the old one cracked....but now the F***ing springs just wont seem to go back in right....what seems right just makes them spring up around the bolts...really getting on me tits...

Could someone help, or even better post up a picture of the side of an egg where these go, so I can finally sort this out?

yea i had the same prob when i took the lid off mine, they go inside with the pins sticking out if that helps. I havnt got an egg anymore otherwise id post up a pic.

Have you tried it with that springs out mate? I much much prefer it and have taken the springs out of all the eggs I've had religiously... Best if the door stays down with no pressure being exerted anywhere til you close it, in my mind

Cheers Gibbsey, Not quite sure where "inside" is (It's really one of those thngs that need a pic innit?) I'm currently putting them in the circle of the lid so that the bolts screw down onto them...points sticking out as u said, but no joy, they just work around the bolts....

Hey Bulldog, Yep, I ran with it like that over the weekend, but it's a new lid, and it's stiff, so doesn't clip over the top of the lip on the eggshells and had a tendency to creep open...so I've gone for putting the springs back in for the time being...well, when I can work out where the hell they're going...

nik mate the rightangled piece should go into the shell and the other end of the spring sits against the tapered bit of the lid
