egg motor?

is it possible to buy a faster servo for an egg?
i was thinking of buying the same sized servo but faster from a modle shop.
will it work if its possible?

ok thanks, just rughly do you know how much a motor fast enough to keep up with a reloader b will cost?

Older eggs feed up to 19bps, but a Z board egg will feed to 23bps. Fast hoppers are so cheap now it's hardly worth blowing cash to upgrade the board on an egg. If you want a force feed design than you'll have to go for something like a vlocity, empire, halo or pulse.

oh right because im gonna be spending all my money hopefully on a dm7 so i wont have enough for a new hopper so i was thinking of putting a faster motor.

If you do decide to replace the servo in your egg, be careful at a model shop!

A standard model servo is no good as they are designed to travel at most, 180 degrees. What you need is a continuous rotation servo, but again beware as they aren't powered by a simple on/off signal, but by a pulse modulated signal sent every 20ms or so, lasting between 0.5 - 2.5ms in length.

As an electronics engineer, my advice is save the disappointment and spend a little extra for a new loader...
