Egg Lid Screws?

Does anybody know if the new design egg shells use different screws to secure the lid on? The screws from my old shells seem far too big for the wholes.

The lids not moving anywhere without them so thats not a problem but the springs won't stay on.

Cheers

The holes have changed, they use a push in plastic clip now. But a lot of people run the egg without the screws anyway.

yeah

about that i got one and like the problem it i cant get the lid off. but that i cool since i got a Z board put in there a bonus for this inconvenience is that the door 4 the batteries now closes properly so i wud get one of these but put the z board init by sum1 who nows what to do.

also i have a question about the paddles.

yeah i have a z board init but like i heard a rumor that if u cut 3 out of the 6 paddles the balls go in better. sumthing about there being more roomtoo fall in so the paddles push in like 2 at a time or even three instead of 1 at a time.

can anyone back this up with scientific fact?

oooo yeah about the new evo II wateva u do buy 2 cos like the parts are different. i have first hand experience. i took mine to a shop and they snipped the wrong paddles and it is a bitch to put the old paddles onto the newer eggs

cheers

I've just put a Z-Board into it....pretty straight forward really.

I also heard this but someone i spoke to(can't remember who it was now) said they tested a 'moded' paddel against a normal one and there was no noticable difference when they emptied the whole hopper. I think the theory is that it's better for when you only have afew balls left...they fall into the spaces between the paddles easier, rather than bouncing around.

Think thats kinda a sensable responce to your post...took me abit of effort to read it.

yeah i was like thinking to myself that the whole paddle thingy was a bit of wishful thinking.

on the screws part i had to use a tool to get at the actual pin things. i guess sum people have smaller fingers then i do.

You can push the centre pin out with a small screwdriver from the inside, or lever the centre pin out with a stanley knife from the outside, easy.
