egg battery light

does anyone know why my egg low battery light comes on with brand new batteries? if i switch it on the light goes out but once i turn it off the low battery light comes back on.

its normall for the low bat light to flicker during on/off sequencies.

cheers mate i know that they do its like that on my other egg but on this egg the light stays on when you switch it off even with new batteries?

Could be a pinched battery wire.
