Egg Battery Doors1

I was just wndering if there was any difference between the clear/smoked eggs and the black ones as far as the regularity of the battery door breaking? Are the black ones tougher? Also any ideas on how to sort it out so you dont have to Keep buying new shells?

No difference as to the actual shape/size of the battery door. There all the same

Is it just the battery door that keeps breaking on you or the actual shell?

Sorry, should explain a little clearer. The rail that holds the battery door in place when you slide it shut keeps snapping. I heard a rumour that the black shells were less prone to this?

Egg Shells

Hi Mate

I got over the problem of having to always replaceing my shells by driling a tiny hole through each side of the bateery cover & then into the brken lip. Then inserted a self tapping small screw. Hey presto i haven't replaced an egg side for over 8 months.

Before you say anything the reason they seem to break for me was being shot on the hopper. I have taken plenty of hits & its still in one piece. The self tapping screws can be found at Halfords.

I've just got this problem on mine, the rail on the actual shell breaking which isn't a suprise seeing as it's very tight to lock in to place. Seems a silly design with that much force being put on something very small. Not a prob seeing as I've got to replace the shell as it's clear, but at a fiver a side, it's not something that I want happening regularly.

yea but they break down every five minutes, break a ball your eyes are f*cked.

The clear shells are made from virgin ploycarbonate and should be stronger than the black ones as they can use old used ploycab for them thats why the black ones are cheeper.
As the material has been processed befor it is not as strong.
The other problem is they were made for america and there 9volts are about 2 mm smaller than ours dont ask me why they just are.
but hermit man just get a halo .
give me a ring and ill sort you boys out.
And yes if a ball breaks in side the eyes are a pain to clean so just use good paint..

Eggs

The egg sides are fine if you put a screw in them as i suggested or the easy way is to buy a ReloaderB sound activated then you dont have the problem with the eyes.

I'm running a Euro with ReloaderB we had to get them in because the Egg with Z board was to slow. Now we have 3 Euros rocking the shop.

If you get broken paint in the reloader just wipe it out & it will still work.

i have had a halo b which was fine i only broke paint in it once didnt affect it to much it never broke down

i now have 2 reloader b best things i ever bought
