egg 2 rotor probs!!!

i have just bought an egg2 and when i turn it on there is just a low hum and the

rotor doesn't spin even if i load it i have put BRAND new batteries in it made from

panasonic which are a decent make any idea how to fix this problem?

is the rotor connected to the motor?

If you feel confident enough to take the thing apart, do so and see if you can get the motor to turn with it outside of the assembly. If you can then something wrong with how it all put together.

But.. just to be sure... try a different set of batteries......

Decent batteries = Duracell/procell or the like.
If the Panasonics are new they should be ok,just a shorter life...
