egg 2 = dead

brand new batteries in it ... was working a couple of days ago ... now go to turn it on and nothing... (push button) batteries are still good gettin around 8.7 and 9v outta em ... when u open battery door and push on batteries to check contact .. the board flashes 3 times (led) and whilst still holdin pressure on the batteries to make sure they contact it still doesnt work?? any ideas?

You have the battery spacer (the little piece of plastic that goes between the batteries) in there? I forgot to put one in my egg and it didn't work.

If that isn't it, you might have a loose connection or a fried board. I'd:

1. replace the batteries (just to eliminate that possibility)
2. check the connections - open up the shell, make sure none of the wires are stripped, pinched or loose ('specially the pushbutton connectors)
3. contact VL to see about getting it repaired

or you can do like me - throw it in the "to be fixed" pile and buy a new one

I had the same problem with my egg. The little switch was busted, was always a bit fiddly, but my big fingers must have been to much for it.
Changed the whole board for a "Y" board, and everything ok.

hmmm anyone know when the "z" board is coming out and where i can get it or who make sit im thinkin that its VL who make it ??
