Eclipse Nexus Guns

OK so ive always wondered why Eclipse released certain models of their guns as "Nexus" models. Ive seen their Nexus DC2 Autocockers and an Ego 6 Nexus edition so far. Were these guns made for the team London Nexus or is that just a coincidence? Because as far as im aware havnt Nexus always been a Dye team?? Or is it that the Nexus label is just a higher modded version of the current marker, similar to the SL line or the Pink Ladies?? And how come they havnt released anymore Nexus models of say the Ego 11 or Geo??

Originally Nexus was created by Ledz and Robbo and fully Planet sponsored, Dye took them over ( in a hostile take-over ) around 2007 from memory.

Ohhhh ok that makes sense. So the guns were team guns then?

Team editions, like you can buy Nexus DM's / Firm Geo's / Disruption LV1's / Infamous Axe's etc.
They were not all owned by the teams but had very similar specs.

So how did Dye manage to take them over in the end?

I'm gonna guess that money probably has a huge factor 1st

and maybe they wanted to shoot spool markers which planet weren't making at the time.!

Not sure - I got the body off Baudsenseless on here, and transplanted the internals, grips and HPR mount from a broken 06 I got from Yorkie...

Think all the olive based GFH Ego's were olive and black if i remember correctly,looks like somebody has added the blue parts.
