Rob,
The Smart Parts Europe Air mod that you refer to is called the Voodoo Full Flow vertical. The prototypes that you have seen on the Rushers Vision Impulse have been replaced with a much neater full production version that can be factory fitted or easily installed by any Smart Parts re-sellers.
Expect the new mod to be availble in approximately 4 weeks, now that the design and testing stages have been finalised. This product offers different performance enhancement to the Eclipse Solenoid optimizer, so should not be mistaken for doing an identical job.
It can be fitted to any Impulse with the minimum of fuss, and will greatly increase performance and responsiveness of your Impulse with very little hassle. It will of course be updated onto the voodoo page of our website:

How exactly is it different Nick? My understanding is that the 'Voodoo Full Flow Vertical' gives the solenoid its own gas supply to stop it being starved of gas when retuning the hammer after the gun has fired. As Dave.H from the rushers explianed in this thread on the pbnation forums-
http://pbnation.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16264
So surely the eclipse mod is achieving the same but in a different way- by keeping gas in the supply line when the valve opens you give the solenoid a supply of gas which normally would have take the path of least resistance out of the gun (ie. through the open valve) leaving the solenoid without any gas to push the hammer back with.
As far as i can see they both achieve the same things- they allow the gun to recock without paint and increase efficiency. They both give the solenoid a supply of gas to push the hammer back with, the just do it in different ways- the eclipse mod prevents the gas from leaving once its in the supply channel while the sp mod pumps it straight into the channel which has been isolated from the vavle supply.
If im completely wrong about this feel free to tell me... i just dont see what the big difference is between them.
Personally i like the sound to the eclipse mod better... i can fit it my self with very little messing around. Im sure the voodoo mod works great too but going by daves post on pbnation it means giving it to you guys to tap and isolate the supply line then having some kind of flow spilter to give the solenoid its own supply... why do all that when i can just screw the eclipse mod straight in, gas up my impy and go play
.
