eclipse eblade - com cable

I presume everybody who owns an e-blade or e-class marker has seen the data cable socket in the grip frame.
what will it do?
I am hoping that the software will be similar to the RaceGun idea which allowed you to set the preferences as slider selectors on your PALM o.s. hand held.
why?
Although the screen on the e-b is suitable its not the fastest thing to navigate if your setting one up.
how much?
No ideas on cost.

I hope in this day and age they will bring out two packages, one with serial 9 pin connector for PC and another for PALM O.S. palmtops. Either that or the ability to purchase a Palm to 9-Pin adaptor??

eBlade Programmer Answers
The programmer is used to upgrade the eBlade firmware, there are currently no 'whistles and bells' for adjusting the settings.
The software runs on a PC and the programmer connects to the PC via USB. There is no Palm version.
The programmer is considered a technician's tool and is only currently used by certain authorised techs and dealers. They will be on general release before the end of the year. No price has been fixed yet.
Oh! It's small, blue and has flashing LEDs.

Wot about the ability to change the start up message (like a lot of the Nexus guys have)? Or is that by using a hacked firmware with the version number text changed then uploading that?
i would guess that changing the boot up will be done via the programmer....but then again im probably wrong!
sod the com cable,fit a rechargable battery inside the frame and supply a charger,the only reason i have not sold my angel is because of the e-blades thirst for 9v
