Eclipse Cocker Vs Angel LCD

If you had a choice between these two markers - what would you go for? Points for and against?

I want a marker that is reliable and accurate, but these are both that from all the articles I have read. Not sure I'm interested in the LCD flash features or not, so performance wise what do you reckon?

They are both really excellent markers.

LCD is a quicker gun without a doubt, however eclipse cockers have a slightly flatter trajectory.

My advice is shoot both and see which you prefer in terms of trigger pull and the way they suit your style of play.

If your trying to decide on them in terms of performance you will just end up nitpicking.

Jake is very right here, having played with an eclipse cocker for a while before using an LCD I can tell you it really is all down to personal preference...or whatever your sponsors tell ya to use;)

Seriously though, both are high quality markers and do the job well. The main advantage ive found by using an electro though is the length of the trigger pull (mines about 1/2 mm), it aids my snap-shooting cos u can shoot that first ball that tiny bit quicker.

have fun:)

The LCD is a killer, no doubt about it, but maybe the question to be asked is what marker do you shoot now?

If you haven't shot a 'cocker before the trigger pull can be a difficult taks to learn (or get a hinge trigger & forget about it).

I think that if you are at all skeptical about the features of the LCD (as you said you have no interest) then go for the simpler, and (slightly) more accurate 'cocker.

They are both outstanding guns. The cocker is a bit more work to shoot well, as you have to consciously pull the trigger full motion every time, but that can be an advantage as many have found in that it allows for more controlled paint consumption and more conscious effort to aim, along with less tendency to hang out too long and get shot out by another player other than the one that you are shooting at for the moment. The balance is different as well, which is of course left up to the individual as to which suits them better. The Angel requires less routine maintenence, however a Cocker is a bit easier for one familiar with its design to totally repair and with fewer tools. Plus, as the ever popular t-shirt points out, a Cocker has no batteries to worry about running out, however it's darn near impossible within most reasonable conditions to play to run out the battery on an Angel, which has a charge status indicator anyway. It's really just a matter of whether you trust electronics and magnets or springs and screws to be the more reliable components of design.

I agree with Jake...Try both markers.

See what suits you best..Personally i choose the Angel!

But people have different views on markers...

well i've just got myself an eclipse cocker to go with my angel.
both have blade frames, so there isnt too much difference between the 2, so it is just down to personal choice.
both look good, i think the angel is bullet proof in terms of reliabilityand really the only thing you would have to worry about is the battery running out.
also the aftersale service is second to none with wdp.
i got the angel when i first started playing because i wanted a marker that i wouldnt have to worry about.
