Hi guys,

I play at Bricketwood usually about twice a month and now the weather's getting better I'm getting friction burns/grazes on my elbows from the astro when diving into the snake. I use the (I guess now old, the ones before their new 2013 iteration) eclipse elbow pads and am wearing a '13 distortion jerseys which have a fair bit of elbow padding in them! So, has anyone else experienced this and found a solution to it? Or does anyone have any ideas to what might be causing it/how to stop it happening?

It's rather odd as the jersey and pad are completely fine (free from damage) but my elbow takes all the fiction, could it be that they are a little too big? Or would a different make/ thicker elbow pad stop this from happening?
Any thoughts?

Cheers

Jason

Haha I don't think chris would take too kindly, to a hostile takeover of his turf :/ yeah thinking they might be moving against my skin so all the movement is happening between my elbow and the pad rather than the pad/jersey and the ground? Just a thought, can't think why else the jersey's fine and my elbow's getting torn up?

haha oh aye, they ripped on the first few slides I did, but amazingly haven't ripped any more since. Anyone had better experiences with other pads?

I use Empire Grind pads, not sure what year they are buy they're ones with the glove attatched, which are great. They always take a beating and I've never had so much as a scuff. They're also very tight fitting so if you have a sizing issue they might be worth a look. I wear large ones and it still takes a good bit of tugging to get them on and off haha.

This style will do the job, but don't take it as a specific recommendation as its the first on google
As its pretty much full arm it means it will stay in place. You will need the advice of the speedballers on here for the right ones that will be best for diving around. That's not my style, I aim more for crawling protection, and when I was in recovery I was in pain at the slightest bump or touch!
