Eblade setup and tweeking tips...?

Right peeps...
You may have seen the HI RES Eblade video, with Jack riping it up.
The way he seems to fire the marker, is similar to the way I think will be best for me, ie, basically vibrating my hand, with thumb on back of frame, finger low on trigger.
So, how do I setup my triger to get the best from this method?
I mean, will more magnetism be better or worse, short or long etc.
Also, i have some QEV's to fit as well...do the barbs on the ram unscrew? If i back the ram out a bit for installation, should I loctite the threads when it goes back? I have blue 628 loctite i think, will that be OK, or not?
ANy other tips or hints etc.
EGG with new board or twitchy HALO?!!!
Cheers

Trigger set-up:
If you are using your hand, you have to figure out what works best for you. If you use my hand, use a lot of mag strength, and don't use my hand for anything else, please. Please wash my hand before returning it.
I would think short would be better for the vibrating finger thing, but I walk triggers to shoot fast, so I can't really say.

QEVs:
The barbs unscrew. QEVs go into the holes, and the barbs go into the QEVs. There are arrows on the Clippard QEVs to indicate the direction of airflow, making this more fool proof.

Backing out the ram:
You don't need to loctite the ram, but if you want to, Blus loctite is fine. This is about the onnly place I strill use teflon tape- threads that need not to be loose, but don't have air under pressure passing next to them. I use it to hold 4 way switches in place as well.

Egg or Halo:
I am a Halo man. If you het one, make sure you get a ripdrive, cause shakinfg a Halo is useless if it dies in a game (all hoppers are subject to failure). I have been really happy with the latest software, it seems like the Halo needs less cleaning out:confused: than before. If you are an Egg guy, of course, you would disagree with me, and it would be a waste of my time trying to talk you around.

Hi.
Im a Revy with Warp man at the mo, tho havent put it on the Eblade yet as havent had chance to use it, and run out of air!!

I copied and printed you reply in another thread, that tells how to set up the SON and COD and chips and stuff!

Not sure if I can walk the trigger very well at the mo, tho without paint etc, even with the eye off its not going to be as fast as it should.

Yes i will wash your hand before returning it, or I could put a latex glove on it before use, if you prefer!! LOL!

I have Eclipse QEV's, loctite on the threads of those?

Magnetism increases as you screw the set screw in right?

White Delrim bolt pretty essential or not? Have ally one at the mo.

Cheers

Why necessarily a white Chipley delrin? We're all using the black delrin bolts sold by Belsales in our cockers (E-Blades and RaceGuns) and they're DAMN fast! Our backs have all shot a full halo/egg before we reach our primaries most games :p I think you're going to need something a bit faster than a revvy tho, or your warp's gonna run empty pretty quick!

i can back this up, watching Tsunami on the break, i watched Brian, with his raced/warp set up, use a going from breakout to his primary which was back centre, which resulted in me and a few team mates shouting "what the hell?????!!!"

Warps... ewww! To each their own.

Probably settings, if you are certyain you are pulling the trigger faster than the solenoid will click. You can practise walking the trigger by not having it aired up, but with a ggod battery you don't mind using up.

I like the green loctite for small fittings like this. It is a penetrating formula, so you apply it after you screw the pieces together. It will help you get a seal without over-tightening and stripping the threads on those QEVs. I think you can get it at most automotive supply places, as well as some hardware stores. Planet may carry it also (along with a lot more knowledge of eBlades than I have).

Yes.

No, it does not matter one bit what color bolt you have, though I used to harbor that misconception. The important properties of the bolt are the weight (lighter is better) and the friction between the bolt and the receiver body (less surface in contact, a delrin surface, good lube).

Good ones include the AKA Lightening Bolt (if you are superstitious, they are available in white), the newer Freeflow bolts, and the Eclipse Dart, although I am sure there are many other good options. The Chipley's look nice, and seem to have a minimum of surface area in contact with the receiver, but since they are made with a metal back, I suspicious of the weight, which I think is the bigger factor. I am speculating on that, though, so take it with a grain of salt.

If anybody knows better, straighten me out. Airing my views publicly then absorbing the ridicule of my betters has been the most constructive part of my education.
