Eblade question

Right, bought an eblade of someone I know, not really done much paintballing and am getting into it. However have some questions:

1: The gun has a Air armegeddon system, when the gas is on, the gun re reader rises slowly (when the gun is not being used) starts at about 4 and goes to about 5, may go higher but never left it too long, someone has said it is creeping the reg?

2: Worried that the gun is under shooting, paint seem to fall at about 240-250ft, as I dont have a chrono, should they fall around the 300ft mark

Not sure about point 1, however the only way to be sure about point 2 is by firing the marker over the chrono and checking the FPS.

right, i think your confused with fps here

fps is how many feet it travels in a second, if it is 270 fps, it doesnt actually mean it will travel 270 feet, because thats nearly 100 metres, and it definetly wont fire that far

Oh I see, I thought the theoretical distance for most guns was 300ft ergo 91m..... if not how far do they go before they drop??

200ft?
250ft?

I know it depends on many things but a rough average

rough average, well at campaign cup, i had to tilt my gun slightly upwards to reach the far back bunkers, and i believe the fields were about 70 m long, my gun was running at 280fps

They pretty much start to drop as they leave the barrel but it becomes noticeable after a given distance..usable distance is a bout 60 70 yards.
the MV (muzzle velocity) is measured at the end of the barrel, and is denoted as Feet per second (fps)...this should be below 300, usually around 280/290.

A new reg seat should stop the gauge creeping. They're only a few pence from Planet or Air America.

Yeah could be good if your near there...where are you?
If you take the bottle off the reg (this can be done,as it has anARM valve in the bottle which can be detatched from the reg, make sure the air is off and any downstream preassure has vented)...then strip the reg and oil it.....

Velocity is adjusted through the back of an eblade, depending on the internals...did you get a manual..is it an Eclipse Eblade cocker or an Ebladed (ie retro fit) cocker..whats been done to it?

Thanks for the response guys, I took a trip to Planet today (I work in Leeds, flew done the M62, hit ****ty Trafford Centre traffic, drove on the hard shoulder for a bit....... any way got there for about 17:45 and guess what, the monkeys had shut. Nice when there web site says open till 18:30.

Anyway enough moaning, bought the gun of a known, its a 2k3 factory edition planet eclipse eblade autococker, with 1.1 L and Air armegeddon. Sounds sensible the thing about the seat being faulty, but am new to this and dont want to strip the thing down just yet.
