Out of test and it's fitted with a CO2 valve, at least you won't be able to fill with HPA but I bet some newbie out there thinks they'll be getting a bargain!

I noticed the description was changed after I contacted them as 'sold as seen'

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 526wt_1270

Response I received from the seller:

Hi there
I am selling the tank as I purchased it, I bought it for something other than paintballing but it wasn't big enough, I am selling it as seen & this being the case it is the responsibility of the purchaser to decide if they want it or not, I have included photos of the bottle & the valve for everyone to see. Thankyou for your input but I am doing nothing that breaks any rules or laws.

You could but factor in that someone may think they are getting a complete and working tank then it's a rip off.
Also the buyer may not be aware that it's a CO2 valve in the first place.

The seller had originally listed the valve as being £70 alone, I think not and made no reference that it could not be used on the tank until they "were prompted."

Before it was pulled it had gone up to about £23, factor in a bottle test £25/£35, with the potential to fail of course.
A final death date of only 3+ years and £40 for new reg, absolute rip off to the unsuspecting newby!

I've seen this sort of thing on eBay a lot. I usually ask the seller a question in the hope that other people see the question and give it a wide birth. But its a serious recipe for disaster. This is why at most sites that you go to today (with exception to training sites) its the staff that fill bottles.
So the next time your at a walk-on and you see people filling there own bottles run,run away.or tell the owner that he's being very silly and that maybe he should rethink is H&S plan.

That isn't that dangerous really, as long as you know how much co2 to put in it co2 is lower pressure than air so the bottle probably won't fail, this on the other hand:

if i see that at my field I'm running away!
just messaged the seller asking why he put a hpa reg on that and if he knows how dangerous that is!.....

his reply asked me to tell him why a hpa reg on a co2 canister is a bad idea...
at this point i've lost all faith in humanity

I've reported that items listing to ebay as dangerous and illegal

There's a report button on every ebay page for a reason, so if you spot a potential issue use it
