The reason we had to pay an EXTRA £250 was because of the groups persistant ringing of Ryan Air and not by keeping our mouths shut they we were told in no uncertain terms that the group would be earmarked for checking their bags for markers and if any were found then the bags and equipement would be confiscated so instead of running the risk of losing our markers we put them all together in one tool box and they were flown out with Easy Jet just the markers and were charged at £250 because of the weight of all the equipement
Now funnily enough on the same flight as me another team DV8 who were playing the same event put their markers on the Ryan Air flight they never said anything never rang the air line and oh guess what they never had any trouble and that was because they never said anything or hassled the Airline.
Im just going by personal experiences and of course you can see the replies from other ballers when this subject ids brought up as long as nothing is said there is usually no problems what so ever now Easy Jet have been ok with people ringing them up and saying can we bring paintball markers on your flight but how long will it last !!! Not all airlines are gonna be as accomodating!!!
Yes fine if the info sent out to all the airlines works then great but imho i just hope it dont backfire because theres gonna be alot of ballers pissed off at how to play abroad their gonna have to drive there cos markers aint allowed on flights!!!!
Why now start to mess with something that up until recentley has been fine for all these years hell wouldnt it be more important to get paintball recognised as a sport first atleast then it would have abit more official clout when these airlines are approached
