just to clear things up. spoke to easy jet today about markers on there planes, easy jet will let you take them on the plane as long as the air bottles are empty, but i advise you to call the call center first to let them know, and they will advise the check in staff and make a note on your booking form.

When will people learn? Why do people constantly make life hard for everyone else with their enquiries over the phone? Admittedly in this case you have been lucky, as they have not said no to the guns. But they could have, and another 'Ryanair' would have occured. Also there is nothing to say that the person on duty at the check in desk will have been informed of the policy, and you may still be denied taking your guns onto the planes. Why bother saying anything at all? I have been on 19 airplanes in the last year with my gun, and never, not once, had a problem. I said nothing, and it was fine. How often when you check in do they ask you if you are carrying a gun? Never, so why bring it to their attention?

For the unpteenth time.......just leave it well alone. Stop calling the airlines, and causing problems.

We called Easy Jet to know if we could take our markers on the palne.!!! I'm not gonna buy a ticket from a company that won't let me board with my luggage!!! And I warned the guys at the checkl in everytime of what I had in my bags and it never caused a problem. Easy jet are cool with paintball markers....

just put the damn things through without saying a word.thats what i do and havent had anyproblems yet.Just make sure your air bottle is diconnected from the reg I.E. the bottle neck is clear of all obstructions so as you can stick your finger inside the bottle this stops any pressure build up as the plane rises

It is broke, didn't you have to pay £250 once because of your plan of just giving it a go. Heston didn't, his enquiry would at worst have resulted in him having to use another company.

Companys might out of convienience just say no if a random Joe asks, but that would not result in a company policy. But the general concensus in the other thread you linked to was that an organisation that is recognised by the home office etc, could put a good case to them and won't evoke a automatic convienient response.

You even ended up parially concedding and saying your arguments were just playing devils advocate.

sjt19, they have put a procedure in to place to ensure that the person at the check in desk knows. You guys seem to be the ones that won't learn.

The reason we had to pay an EXTRA £250 was because of the groups persistant ringing of Ryan Air and not by keeping our mouths shut they we were told in no uncertain terms that the group would be earmarked for checking their bags for markers and if any were found then the bags and equipement would be confiscated so instead of running the risk of losing our markers we put them all together in one tool box and they were flown out with Easy Jet just the markers and were charged at £250 because of the weight of all the equipement

Now funnily enough on the same flight as me another team DV8 who were playing the same event put their markers on the Ryan Air flight they never said anything never rang the air line and oh guess what they never had any trouble and that was because they never said anything or hassled the Airline.

Im just going by personal experiences and of course you can see the replies from other ballers when this subject ids brought up as long as nothing is said there is usually no problems what so ever now Easy Jet have been ok with people ringing them up and saying can we bring paintball markers on your flight but how long will it last !!! Not all airlines are gonna be as accomodating!!!

Yes fine if the info sent out to all the airlines works then great but imho i just hope it dont backfire because theres gonna be alot of ballers pissed off at how to play abroad their gonna have to drive there cos markers aint allowed on flights!!!!

Why now start to mess with something that up until recentley has been fine for all these years hell wouldnt it be more important to get paintball recognised as a sport first atleast then it would have abit more official clout when these airlines are approached

Steve without jumping up and down on you too much, or repeating all of what WKD has said but how many times have you flown abroad with your kit?
Take advice from those people that have done it lots of times, keep schtum.
Nowhere does it say that you can't take markers on a flight so why rock the boat? let sleeping dog lie and all that....
