You want an Evolve gold bolt kit for best efficiency, and a good front reg. Once that's taken care of they are great; a little bulky but smooth, quiet and consistent with no chopping if you set the LPR up correctly. You can find more info here-

There's a list of useful websites and forums about the Matrix, any further questions post them up:)

the one I'm looking at says it has the gold evolve bolt and is using the stock LPR

I'm a bit concerned about using an HP (800-900psi) preset tank without an adjustable on-off (I don't have a maxflow or crossfire)

An HP tank should be fine- what front reg is it fitted with?

You'll have to forgive my 'noob-ness' but how do you set one of these up?

I have an IR3 with angel air and I know to simply wind in the key on the a.i.r til the display reads about 600 psi and then the inline(vertical) reg is used to fine tune the velocity via an allen key bolt.

How do you set one of these up as I don't want to buy it, screw in my HP air and blow a the o-rings or worse!

while we're on the same subject what can anyone tell me about the tadao v5 with M5 board?

M5 I guess is the software revision/version, are 'eyes' needed?

Five simple steps to setting your LPR

1. Turn in your LPR all the way.

2. Set your velocity via the inline regulator.

3. While taking slow shots over the chronograph slowly turn out your LPR until you see a drop in your velocity.

4. Turn your LPR back in about 1/4 to a 1/2 a turn.

5. Walk your trigger as fast as you can. If you notice drop-off or shoot down turn your LPR in a smidgen.

Congratulations! Your LPR is now set correctly!
