E2 board into E1 frame?

I'm sure this'll have been answered somewhere before, and think I saw something on Planet's site that said no, but thought i'd be lazy and sound out before taking things apart.

Can I put an E2 board into an E1 frame? Wanted to keep me lovely lime green turtle all the same colour as well as keeping the samurai trigger if possible, but that'll mean taking the board out of a silver standard E2 frame...and it looks like the E2 is fatter, or is it just me? (Thinking, not actually being fatter... )

Not sure, but i think you need a zero b board to fit an E1 frame but just pull 'em apart and have a go

it will not go in mate different software just get a zero b board mate

It's more the case that I have a frame that matches one marker that is an E1 frame, and an E2 frame that doesn't...wanted to see if I could colour match, but seems not....no biggie though.
