Rob- there's two regs into the marker- the main reg on the bottle and the front reg that is currently screwed into the front bottle mount. Try setting the main reg to around 750 psi- the front reg will then reduce this to 325 which is the operating pressure of the marker. It sounds like you're starving the marker at the mo, so call me if you still can't get it to work.

The silver foregrip is a reg, you can add a gauge if you really want but there's no real need if the reg is set up correctly already. Just don't mess with anything until we can get together as adjusting the front reg will mean having to set the gun up again. Just try setting the main reg to around 700 and remember the first rule of gun teching- if you don't know what it is/does, leave it alone!

Right...not that I know what I'm talking about, but..

If you have an adjustable main tank reg, set the output to around 650psi.

If you want to put a guage on the front, there should be a blank plug at the bottom of teh semi block (where the ram and stuff is) put one in there.

As a guide, generally, you want around 325psi going into the gun from your inline reg (verticle foregrip thing).

Ideally, you should sweetspot your gun, im not going to go into that now, but check this site out.

If the gun is going "BRAAPPPP" with the cocking rod little more than a blur, like a blow back that's running out of gas, then it's an important issue that should be checked. I have seen it a grand total of twice in 10 years of working on cockers, so it's not common, but if the jam nut is just loose enough, the valve can allow gas back into the lower tube, and make the hammer fly back and forth.
First thing to do is to check the jam nut, just to be 100% sure that's not whats causing it. www.moodypaintball.com/pages/tech/valve.htm covers how to get to the jam nut.

If it's not doing the jackhammer thing, and it's just venting gas, then check the inline reg setting, and the spring tension.

id have someone who knows there way round a cocker take a good look for you but sounds like it is eather low input pressure from the inline reg or it is also poss that the cocking lug is set high and its not recocking propperly....eather way if you havnt done this before or been shown how to do it chances are you arnt going to get it set up perfectly on your own......seek help but also ask who ever fixes it to show you what they are doing.

golden rule of cockers, and this is coming from somone who has had one for over 10 years now, even if you know what you are doing, if its working..DONT mess with it! ever!. keep all cleaning/taking appart to the nessesary minimum!
