E-tek help needed

Hi all

I've an e-tek 1 that I'm having a bit of a problem with. It looks like one of the o-rings in the inline reg has gone, the only problem is that I can't work out how to change it.

The o-ring that's gone is in the lower part of the reg between the bit that swivels round the the bit that holds the the velocity adjuster. Can anyone tell me how these two bits come apart? I've had a look but can't seem to seprate them to replace the o-ring.

looking at the manual the two bits that I need to separate are the inline regulator bottom and the swivel collar.

you need to remove the macroline elbow for the collar to slide off the reg you might need a bit of force to get it off mine was as tight as hell

sit it in hot water for 5 mins to soften the loctite before attempting to remove the elbow.

would the locktight need replaced after he is done?

You would have to loctite the elbow back on again mate yes
