E-Tek 3 AM

Can someone please give me details about this marker as i dont know if i should get one.

They're a lower band version of the Ego mate. The Etek 3 AM (when added with an emortal board) performs at about the same level as an Ego 8 or 9, if you remember how my ego8 shot at the first cpps when you borrowed it

Very simple internals, which is ideal for you scottyboy lol
They use a poppet valve system, so they're a lot more air efficient and require less love and attention to run than your old pmr, although you do get a little bit more 'kick' with each shot.
Come standard with Zick kit and Cure (two?) bolt to help with efficiency and kickback.

You used to have the etek1 didn't you? It's basically a better version of that. Smoother shot, better efficiency.

As for weaknesses, it doesn't particularly have any. Like i said, if you get an emortal board then you get the nice LCD screen however, with a stock board you get an LED lights system, which can make changing settings a bit more difficult

I currently own an Etek 3 AM, other than a bit of fine tuning the marker worked straight out of the box rather well. I would recommend the emmortal board (costing £140) as changing setting is a complete Biatch, you could go for the zick 2 kit (costing £30) and if need be a cure 3 bolt (costing £36). I've personally upgraded the board and the cure bolt systems which has made slight improvements in the air comsumption and allowed me to change my settings in the blink of an eye, though i have never considered the Zick 2 kit due to the limited kick you feel as it is.

solid gun mate! even so as stock it just works and the LT is exactly the same performance wise when stock ( you cant put emortal board in LT)

I'm running with an etek 3 AM at the moment. i've got the cure3+ and zick 2 upgrades. I would really recommend the cure3+ bolt but i didn't notice a huge difference with the zick 2 kit.

The emmortal board will all depend on how often you need to change your settings. I tend to play only 2 or 3 sites regularly and they all run the same requirements on marker settings so i don't have to change them very often. As such i am happy to keep the stock board for now. If i changed settings more often i would definetly want the board upgrade.

Overall i find that the marker is great, reliable and accurate (even stock barrel is pretty damn good), its nice and simple to disassemble and service. I haven't had any problems keeping up with higher end markers out on the field. I've not found any problems with the marker so far.

The LED system isn't that hard to work out once you get the hang of it took me like an hour or so having a go at it to figure out whats what (great vids on youtube explaining it all). may take slightly longer to switch through modes than the emortal but we aren't talking minutes. If your looking at upgrading to the emortal board, cure 3+ and zick 2 kit you might aswell go for a second hand Ego10.

they're a sound marker from stock out the box, but like kyle said if your thinking of upgrading you may aswell buy an ego 10

I'm playing with Etek more than 2 years and it has never disappointed me. It's very durable and stable in shooting. But you want something better I don't recomed you upgrade it you better collect some money and buy an EGO.
