Prices can vary widely,it also depends what you want to do with it and what needs doing to it.
You'll find that a lot of ego owners were previously cocker owners.
If you can get an uncommon one(DC2,etc)they sell for a premium but so many people made"mockers" that they were devalued, upgrades were readily available and are still available now.
Heavy in comparisson to todays markers but reliable if a little technical,it just means you have to read up on them,a lot of moving parts and a complex 3 way if you don't know what you're doing.
If it's a real bargain(p-nuts) get it...I'm sure it would sell on if you got bored with it..

Pictures?

Did he say what it was called?

Price depends onthe model. Good quality with a nice anno in working order normally £150 ish.

project not working - £50

Rarer models can go to £300.

If it's nice I might be interested in buying it.

Most parts are easy to find if it needs repairs. I would insist on seeing it tested & dry fired before doing a deal. It's true that some fetch good prices - especially Ltd editions in nice colours. I just shipped a mint sunset fade F1 Eclipse to the states and got $450 for it. A few really collectable cockers have sold for over $1000 on ebay recently.
