E.C.S Cricket Upgrade

I've just had a chat with SP Europe, and they tell me that they cannot do a E.C.S upgrade to a normal cricket board? Anyone know anywhere that can do this, the board has the capacity and can be sent away as it's 2nd to a was.

Any help would be grateful.

Because its a term in the lawsuit - no SP Markers/boards can't be flashed

ECS is from a different company isnt it??

I would advise an upgrade to a WAS board. A team mate has had his and its the fastest impy ive seen, and I hate impys. Plus they now have released ramping for it.

I have an 05 was board for my impy, bought recently so it has all the ramping etc.

I just have this spare board at the moment, and since the was from the states was a mission to get hold of, I thought I'd hang onto the SP cricket and try out the E.C.S.

I'll do a bit more research I thought the code orginally came from SP.

If your board has a white sticker over the chip by the power button/back it's not programmable and cannot be unlocked. You can get boards for £40 that are though apparently.

ECS was developed by some kid who used to lurk on PBN and released as open source. SP have nothing to do with it, and it's probably because of ECS that the newer cricket boards are locked so they can't be reprogrammed (this happened some time before the WDP/SP lawsuit result.)
