I had the Eye on my E-blade pack up last night in training and have just phoned planet for a replacement. At £25 a pop, I'm hoping that despite only having the E-Blade for two months, this won't prove to be a re-occurring problem.

Most of our team shoot e-blades, most fitted in May by an experienced air smith (regularly custom builds his own cockers etc) and out of 5 Blades fitted, we've had to replace 5 Eyes. one or two were damaged druing the tricky fitting process, but three at least have just died on us mid use?

Any one had this problem or is our "experienced air smith" not so experienced!?!? (only joking Dan!)

Thanks,

Let me be quote clear I'm not dissing the E-Blade, which is sooo good - it's performance *almost* makes up for my lack of natural talent. But I'm keen to know whether we've been either:

A Unlucky
B Fitting them incorrectly
C victims of a slight design flaw

All info/opinions greatly received

Dod,

As you know the Nexus kids have been shooting their eblades since before they hit the shelves and we've had very few problems with ours.

You know what I'm like ..... if it could be broken then i would've broken it by now but shes been good as gold!

Are you sure Dan hasnt been getting a bit slap happy with the locktite which he loves so much!? - That stuff wont do an eye any good what so ever! :D :p

Maybe check the sensitivity levels of the eye?!

If BowAn can get away with treating the E-Blade the way he treats ALL guns, I'm beginning to suspect that our problem does not lay with the eye not being robust enough :D

Cudos to BowAn by the way for knowing what the Eye on an E-Blade *actually* is!?!? when we played with him, you had to tie his shoe laces and show him which end of the gun to point at the opposition, Robbo should be proud of what his training regime has achieved in such a short time! :p

Just to clear up a point here.

We went in to check the eye setting. And were not getting a reading from it at all! (dead eye)

I dont believe the grip frame has been taken off at all when the marker is cleaned so there is very little chance of 'pinching' the eye ribbon (practically cutting through it if it isnt sitting just right in the frame).

The eye appears to have just died a natural death after approximately 2 months

Correct me if i am wrong here please Goatboy
