Dying/customising goggles

Saw this vid

and its really made me want to do this to my E-flex but unsure if it will work because of the fact they are black to start with and the material.
Just wondering which gogs are good to do this for or how I can make my e-flex funky

Dyeing is possible - but starting off with black will result in a fail.
You want something light to start with - preferably white

If you are looking to dye the bottoms the white ones are coming out soon so you could probably dye them

I've sprayed vforce grills before, just be sure to take your time and use the right kind of paint!

I tried to do this with a pair of white Grills. Wanted Red. Used the exact same dye as the guy in the video but it didn't work. Only thing that happened was the black turned purple. Only reason I can think why it didn't work is the water I used wasn't warm enough.
