Dye U/L E-Autococker velocity problems

Hi guys, i need some help troubleshooting a Dye U/l Cocker with E1 Eclipseblade, dye hyper-in-line regulator and a dye rocket regulator on the front block.

First of all, this is a mate's second hand gat, and he used it with a high pressure preset for the first time on sunday. Paintballs were barely reaching 2 metres ahead and obviously would not register on the chrono. I checked the IVG and it was in line with the back of the body. Is the velocity adjusted by the hyper-in line and could there be any other reason why it was shooting so low? the E-blade settings were on factory fast default...

Thanks for any help, my knowledge of cockers is limited to my old trilogy

yep, as i said the Internal velocity governor (the thing you adjust with the hex key) is unscrewed to the maximum (i.e in-line with the back of the body) which suggests that the velocity could be changed using something else - the hyper in-line?

the hpr maybe too hot ie if you go from lp to hp the pressure was set to a low pressure tank therefore going to a hp tank it would be way too high

why would this cause no velocity, well the valve would be closed by way to much air pressure

basically start again, set your ivg to mid way, drop the hp to 0 psi, move the hpr up in small increments until the velocity maxes out then back off a touch, then use the ivg to set the correct velocity(this is called sweet spotting the reg)

link for you

btw lpr has nowt to do with velocity of cockers

just spoken to planet, they said it would need to be sent in as it's possibly many things. Is there anything simple it could be other than sweet spotting it which i will have a go at...

I tried adjusting the IVG, it's extreeemely tight - mean anything? :(

what if i tried a LP tank?
it should be good

the firing depends on a few things

reg pressure, spring tentions, and timing, and also barrel match, ie ball rolling out b4 the shot

i would try sweetspotting 1st, but it could also be the ram timing, ie it coming back too early, catching the hammer before it gets to the valve

for timing

other than this send to planet nicky t will set it up sweet

If the paint is dropping short...firstly teh IVG should not be all teh way out.
Secondly...dont use LP on a Cocker.
You want roughly 325 psi going into teh gun from teh Hyper2.
Wind teh IVG in as Rob said about half way.
Cock teh gun befopre you gas it up.

Also...pop a drop or two of suiatble oil in the macro line, before you gas it up, barrel off. Also oil teh ram shaft and work it back and forth.

Dont worry about fine tuning yet, just get teh thing banging well and make sure (tho I dont think this is possible with teh DYE back block), that teh bolt is teh right way up!

If you get anymore trouble or want any help, drop me a PM.

i tried turning the velocity up the standard way (turning the IVG) ad it's really tight, is that something else?
