Dye Throttle pin valve problem

hi i was just wondering if any professionals that know that there doing and know what ther on about that could help me out?

i am looking for some guidance and advise of the following;
I have a Dye Throttle Air Tank 4500 PSI.
and the pin on the tank stuck down, but finnaly it popped up again but there was a little split on the gold peace of metal surrouding the pin ( not the silver top, the bit inside the silver top )
so my dad took it out by screwing it out because it has threads so this must mean it is able to screw in and out.
so
question 1. Is it safe to fill the tank with the pin inserted back in ( even though it has a split down the side of the pin )

question 2. Is it safe to fill beacuse the top has being off, ( so dust ect getting into the tank )
would it still be ok to fill.

question 3. If i had to buy a new pin, where would i be able to get one from, where would i get it fitted, or could i fit it my self because it has threads on and is able to screw in and out.

sorry for some many questions but do you have and guidance or advice on what to do.

Hi Liam,

Thanks for your post. Im sure Ash (our master tech) will be able to help you out with a spare pin, as they screw in the top rather than having to take the reg apart. All you would need is some needle nose plyers to get the busted pin out.
