Looking at this for a friend and after a little advice from anyone who may have encountered this before. Reg set with Dye tester to 130PSI, dwell at 6, blue flow tip, no spacers. Stripped bolt down and lubed as per manual. Dry fires and cycles perfectly.

Insert paint and fires a few shots then stops cycling and you can hear air leaking from somewhere. Degass and re-gass and it seals, fires a few more times then fault re-occurs. Whilst firing chrono indicated approximately 270 fps.

Bought back indoors to investigate and again unable to reproduce issue when dry firing. At this point it would appear the issue only occurs when paint is being used ? ?

Apologies as with hindsight when it leaked I should have removed hopper and checked bolt position and tested with finger to see if I could determine more info on air leak. I have upped the dwell by 1 and hope to retest this afternoon but just thought I would ask here first in case there is anything else to try. I did find a cut O-ring on the bolt whilst lubing it and did replace it.

Upping Dwell by 1 made no odds, in fact possibly worse as now only get one shot before leak. However, I can see that the bolt hasn't fully retracted, about a 1/4 left to retract. If put finger on bolt tip via feedneck feel very slight leak but if I push back on the bolt resistance increases and the bolt then moves forward as if trying to fire (goes about 3/4 forward). Leak sounds much louder between body and grip frame then at the bolt end which is very low by comparison. Suspect this is going to turn out to be an oring issue just need to try and figure which one/s

Fresh battery. Changed the 016 on the bolt again just in case and its still doing the same except now, when I degass the marker it fires a single shot which was unexpected :). Regass and it fires one ball then leaks. Degass and it fires one more ball. On checking there isn't a leak down the bolt but its not fully retracting and if pushed back resistance increases and then it comes forward as if its trying to fire but doesn't quite come forward enough.

I think its a 10. It does have all the updated parts though. Took it out Saturday morning and put 600 balls through it without issue so hopefully sorted. When it was leaking air it sounded like it was from between body and grip frame which was why I suspected an o-ring. I wasn't familiar enough with how NT firing cycle works to make an educated guess as to which o-ring so changed the lot and it fixed it. I am now wondering if it was one of the small o-rings on the spool which was allowing the air filling the dump chamber to flow back though the body (where the air normally flows the other way on trigger pull to "activate" the spool). Not really sure but all is good now but thanks everyone for the advice.

Ahhhhh the 10, one of the best markers we ever made I believe. Other than the DM12 of course (cough cough :p)
