Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum so not sure if this is where I'm supposed to be posting this? but i guess this is the correct place because it is part of Dye.

Basically, I'm looking at getting my self a pair of Dye I4's New / Second Hand, but what I've noticed about brand new I4's are the colors and the price variants ?

All I4's are about £90 brand new? depending on where you shop, now the question i have why are different colors different prices? the limited edition white/gold pair i can understand because as far as I'm aware they come with thermal lenses.

but the other ones they vary from £80 - £100 and i can't really tell why? does anyone have any information as to why? The "Tiger Orange" are brand new for £80 with postage, where as the blue ones, and the green camouflage are all £89+ and I'm just wondering why before i buy a pair?

All I4's come with thermal lenses, some of the LTD edition pairs however came with tinted lenses. You'll be hard pressed to find a high end goggle system that doesn't come with some variant of thermal lense. Most use the two pane way (the actual lense that takes the force is backed by another lense sealed with foam) but some still use a thermal plasticoat.

Like RI says, it's mostly to do with the fact that they release new colourways every year.

It's partly 'last seasons' colours, but some do cost more anyway, EG the dyecam ones

The more expensive colours may have higher spec lenses, such as mirrored lenses, but in general it's desirability, limited editions or last seasons colour

I have the cubix grey and the aqua both from last season. The grey cost me £50 and the aqua cost £90.
The aqua was new and the cubix 2nd hand (used about 4 times)
It's all about colour preference and if you are happy to buy used kit.
I know a couple of people who refuse to buy used kit due to it not being fresh out the box and others who refuse to buy new due to the high costs.

Sounds like you have had a nightmare with it!
The difference isn't massive between the standard and dyetanium.
Just the lens colours are different. Most of the dyetaniums are mirrored or two tones etc

Yeah it's been a nightmare! even more annoying when you have no idea what caused it! :(

And thanks! I've been looking at replacing mine and dyetanium lenses are £30 new, where as normal lenses are roughly £20-£25, are they worth the extra few ££ do you reckon?
