I recently purchased a new Dye Autococker. The marker is set up with a gladiator reg, Mac Dev CO2 system. The problem I am having is it shoots fine for ~ 200-300 rounds then the gun freezes. It will shoot but the bolt will not come back on its own, I have to pull the triger forward and that will release the bolt. To fix it, I lower the reg pressure to @ 175 fps, fire the gun several times, them adjust the reg pressure back up to the 275-280 fps I normally shot at.

Anyone have any ideas. Thanks for your help.

Pops:rolleyes:

Doesn`t sound good.
If its new its under warrenty, so send it back.
If the bolt is sticking back its usually a problem of either the front reg (the one on the semi block) or the 3 way. If its the reg, its giving out an inconsistant supply, which can cause the 3 way to jam, but you don`t see it much as it used to be a problem with the old brass regs. If its the 3 way you could have a problem with the o-rings dragging to much coupled with trigger springs which are too soft.

Either way, use the warrenty...unless you`ve fiddled with it.

Also make sure there is an anti-syphon tube in the CO2 bottle and that it is fitted correctly. Also make sure it is screwed onto the gun in the correct position or it will draw liquid.
If that doesnt work... if any of your mates has an air system try and borrow that and see how that goes if it works ok then You have a problem drawing liquid from your bottle.
Hope this helps

I've been reading quite a bit recently on other forums about people with DYE cockers and similar problems. Popular concensus (sp?) is that they are excellent markers, so long as you get it checked over first by an airsmith!!! Out of the box, they seem to have little problems.......
