dual HSE & DOT bottle????

i have just been offered a bottle suposedly a dual HSE & DOT bottle???

what dos that mean as i have never heard off it and i dont no if i will get it filled in uk???

i know DOT is US and can't be filled UK side not sure about HSE tho.

i no what a HSE bottle is, its a uk one. the one befor pi was HSE and if you have one it only has 3yr test. But i dont no what a dual HSE and DOT one is???

dot is usa

hse is the uk

pi rated is the new uropean standard.

hse is tested to higher specs than the dot so in theory they are safer than dot. however the yanks are awkward when its comes to hse.

i think you can get bottles with the dual test, but i know little about them.

The original Angel Air bottles were HSE & DOT tested, there was some confusion over this originally because of the diffferent testing criteria for both standards.

However once the bottle has been retested it will then be only able to be tested and used in the appropriate region. As Crumpler has already stated these bottles only have a 3 year life before retest on them, and I would have thought that this has already been reached. So if it has been retested it no longer is a dual standard bottle and can only be used in the appropriate region.

Bit of a thread jack - I've been out of the game for a while and I need to get my bottle retested, any advice on how i go about this would be greatly received, also it is an angel air type dual tested dot/hse bottle will this be an issue with the new standards for getting it retested?
