Dropped a boo boo with my Ion board :(

Morning all

Whilst changing my battery ive pulled the red battery harness wire out of the board.

never seen a board mount so high up before (new to ions) could anybody give me some hints/tips how to get it out in order for me to solder the wire back on

take off grips
undo frame screws, and screw in breach front (where barrel threads are)

ease apart

undo the front banjo hose and back banjo hoses

ease apart some more and tilt away from frame

the board slides up from the frame, it isnt screwed in.
remove the eye wiring, and it should all come out, so you can fix it.


this is from memory of about a year ago but should provide a start.

just check through the ion manual that will tell you how to strip it right down, info suppliedm is about right though .

soldering the wire back on is pretty simple too just take your time and a bit of care (I've had to do this befiore as well)

Lovetone gave a perfectly good guide there..... should be easy enough, I have also had to fix the battery harness. Bit of a pain but also pretty simple!

was piss easy once i knew it slid into grooves in the frame
