dragun tes b...what can u tell me?

i was just looking for some info on the 'dragun tes b' marker. does anyone here know anything about it?

im totally new to paintball, and am looking at buying my own marker, but dont know what to get.

the 'dragun tes b' was recommended to me by a nearby dealer, as far as price and quality goes. he's got the marker for $455 AUD.

eventually i wouldnt mind playin in some local competitions, but nothing too serious. i doubt ill be pro material any time soon :p

im in australia, and i dont really wanna spend more than $500 AUD (356.238 USD, 194.659 GBP).

what do you all recommend?

The Dragun stuff is decent for starting out, I believe it has an eye an all, however, your best bet is probably to buy something second hand. The only problem I can think with that is importing it into your country, as I know they just lifted up some sort of ban on pb guns in Australia, right? Whatever you decide to get, make sure to learn all about how it works here and on other forums. Another thing to remember, and I don't know if your accounted for all this yet, is that there are quite a few other things to buy along with the marker. You're going to need a mask, tank, and loader and the very bare minimum, and a pack for extra paint and other small things like a squeegee are good to have too. If your ammount doesn't have that factored in you're not going to be able to spend as much. Good luck!:)

Whatever you get, make sure that there is someone near you that can service your marker. You don't want to buy a marker and then have to ship it to the USA to get fixed.

Have a chat with the guys at Macdev who might at least be able to point you in the right direction.

oh yeh cool!

yeh, the $500 AUD was only for the marker.

the marker with everything else, including the Halo B (w/rip), the SP Smart valve, the empire twister barrel, a 20oz cylinder, the v-force profiler mask, a service kit and 2000 tc viper paintballs, is gona cost me about $1500 AUD (1,070.19 USD, 581.569 GBP).

another question...HPA. can u fill ur normal C02 cylinders with HPA? coz i know nothing about this.
is HPA worth getting, and what size cylinder do you think would be best?

thanks heaps guys.

You cannot fill a CO2 tank with HPA. CO2 tanks are only designed for the 800 or so psi that that they produce, and filling it with 3000 or 4500 psi of HPA would be very bad:eek: HPA is generally a cleaner, more consistant air source, albeit more expensive. I'm pretty sure that the dragun will run well on CO2, but if you can afford it HPA is going to be better. Everything else you mentioned sounds good. Camsmith had a good point about MacDev, they are in Australia and you might look into their products because it's always nice to have that support close at hand.

sweet.

yeh..."high pressure air"...makes sense now that i actually think about it.

i probably wont bother gettin the hpa. i rekon it'd be too hard to find nearby anyway.

i meant to ask before, how do you refill your C02 tanks? i suppose any nearby paintball fields would be able to do it, yeh?
