My friend has just bought a new threshold and I have to say it is one of the nicest markers I have every used...... It is basically idiot proof. The board is programmed purely by flicking switches, the bolt is almost un-strippable and the whole thing only has 6 o-rings!

Some people on here might not know that dye patented a bolt system a few years back which has been used on Ions and the like. I don't know too much about it but I have been told that some bolts have space for an extra o-ring but the factory can't fit one in place because it is patented by Dye.
The Threshold works brilliantly but when I stripped it down to clean and lube there was a space for an extra o-ring on the bolt but no o-ring in place, does anyone know if it improves the marker by fitting an extra 0-ring? if so what size is the said o-ring?
Cheers
James

It dosn't need fixing, read the post..... I said: 'does it improve the marker?'
I have not fitted it yet and wan't to know what will happen if I do. Seeing as I don't want to break my friends gun I am asking if it does do anything and if so is it a wise move.

They say the channel is there for the rearward bais to the bolt when it is foward...but it doesnt need to be there as they released some guns with out it

personally i think it is a bull story so they didnt get done for contributary infringment.....

also dye dont hold a patent on a bolt with that confguration, evolve does. Dye's version is only a US patent civering comunication of gas using the tail of the bolt (hence why ion bolts with tail sections have to pay royalties.

But i do agree it is a nice gun and very simple.
