DOT bottles

this is something which i can never remember.
Am i right in thinking that DOT stamped bottles connot be tested in the uk cos they are not to european standards.
All i can remember is that back in the pump days i was told to stay clear of them.
I have only ever bought new ones or ones that have just been tested.

Anyone clear this one up for me.

if it is dot only then no it cannot be filled in the Uk

it cannot be restested to Uk standards

but you can get mult-itest bottles that are pi and dot.

All i was 100% was the pie bottles. Now i know i can look and know what to look for.

it is possible to get a DOT bottle tested in this country, but only to DOT spec.

So it's still not useable here.

Just jumping on the bandwagon what is the difference between the dot spec and pie spec

dot is the american test standard.

pi is the european test standard.

The bottles are the same.
