im getting my first gun at x-mas time dependant on money issues

but i was originally intending to get an impulse or an impulse vision but, now thinking if i get enough money from a job im getting soon do you think its worth me getting an eclipse autococker i mean it will last me a whole lot longer as a marker than an impulse! what do you all think??

Why do you think the cocker will last you longer? :)

If you compare like with like an Eclipse or Freak Factory Impulse and the Eclipse Autococker are both very nice lumps of metal to have in your kit bag. It'll most probably come down to your own personal preference which you end up with assuming you can raise the cash.

Myself, I don't like the way the cocker feels when you're firing it (I've got a tricked out Eclipse Impulse so I'm obviously biased on this one!) but half of my team wouldn't use anything else and between them they've owned just about everything.

The best advice anybody can give you is to try out anything you're thinking of buying. It's getting hard to buy something truely crap these days so while it's unlikely you'll end up with something that's more use as a paperweight than for paintball you really need to know what you're comfortable with and what fit's your style of play.

Will you be playing Rec ball or Tourny?
What position do you intend to play?
Have you ever shot a cocker before? If not, try one before you decide on one. Same goes for the Impy.

here is a pic of my baby,

For your first gun cockers may be better as they are very low maintainence.

If u need any advice on cockers email or phone me at belsales. (where Evo's are made)

when i mean it'll last longer is that if i got an impulse if i got better i would then concider upgrading or getting a better gun so i mite aswell get a good gun in the first place, i aint shot a cocker before but i intend playing tourny and sticking with it ive played rec ball many a times and am ready to try tourny and im pretty sure ill enjoy it, i dont know what position ill be playin although im quite fast so maybe front,
this is my first gun but i might aswell get a good one rather than tippman/spyders etc , ill try out the guns pretty soon hopefully ill get ago on some on october 6th at the rdx tryouts

For the Impulse a Maxflow will do. Same for the cocker but any Air America regs are good, AGD Flatline, PMI Pure Energy.
If your playing up front, you wont need to shoot as much as anywhere else on the field cos you should have someone behind you doing the shooting for you. For this reason, a cocker would be better.
