Reading the Metro this morning (free paper offered within London and a few other cities in the UK) I read with disgust a half page advertorial on a new sport in the States.

The sport although not officially recognised involves basket ball players riding around the court on the back of a donkey (shoed with rubber horse shoes to stop slippage) doing their thing.....

Why o Why does this sport get media coverage of this quality? When the same coverage could do paintball the world of good :( .

True it's a weird and humourous idea and probably will never be mentioned again in main stream media, but I'm sure most commuters would also find a piece on paintball (perhaps an article covering what's planned for the M25 league and the tourney on the 16th of March) equally surprising and thought provoking.

Perhaps the answer is to involve animals into our sport  anyone for bull paintball?? - we'll run a normal 5 man on sup air, with both teams in red trousers and a rabid p*ssed off Bull loose in the field......

Should prove interesting :D

Goatboy--everybody knows pb is boring. But donkeys, playin' hoops? That's entertainment!
Donkey B-ball most often appears in junior high gyms as halftime entertainment and ocassionally as fund raisers.
Now, when the donkeys can play without a rider then you'll have something.

What about... if we had people riding on donkey's dribbling basketballs and shooting paintballs at each other while conforming to tight 'ministry of silly walks' regulations?

/me going home to watch Monty Python.

Let's unite against our common enemy- Donkey basketballers. :)

Got some weird pictures in my head of clones....:D

Is it any surprise that anything as main-stream as basketball will get media attention regardless of it's format, though I admit, this is a touch too much...:p
