I was one of the blues Sunday and spent the whole day playing in the woods. I cant say i ever saw anyone wiping. on game 3 i was blatting people in the village buildings by the field and i thought i might have hit 2 reds but they didnt go. i kept shooting and knew a marshal was near buy so trusted that i'd missed.
the feugo freeze was BOUNCE TASTIC and i must have had 20 bouncers (many from the death Wombles and a few other red snipers) which i dont mind but must have been frustrating as hell for the shooters.
i saw nothing but fair play and at one point i flushed Ian (ferret) out of a holly bush and we stood their, 20 paces away, blasting eachother. we paint checked one aother, ian only had splatter, i had a shot on my belt i told the blues not to shoot him as he ran back to the lines and i went to the spawn point.
Thats how Domination SHOULD be played and i saw many surrenders and people walking out in the woods all the time.
Other players have said that People need to realise this is a game and not get over the top carried away. A small minority need to assess there attitude to paintball before they put too many people of coming to these Domination days.
I agree . are the 'few' tourney guys?
(contriversial but are they?)
i know for a fact that the unreal team are probably the most dedicated in the industry to make sure EVERYONE has a good day. players come first and where else do you know a site ASKING for feedback and criticism. Compared to Dom 1 the professionalism of the marshals and smooth running of the day was a 1,000 times better.
Im saying this as a player as well as a marshal myself.
the fact only 50 odd people came....it IS winter.... it was wet and numbers will always drop down. but i think it was a great move to restrict the boundaries of the map so the players dont get thinned out too much with the lower numbers.
Its always fun to swap war stories ....i was the blue player in a desert camo jacket and played in the woods all day.if you shot me (or i shot you) let me know.
who were the red players in the bunker on game 2 that i shot out (half way through game 2) when the blues took the bunker off the reds and held for the rest of that game.
i think one was a Womble
Domination V oh yes!
its going to get better and keep on at the unreal team to tell them what you want
as a woodsballer, i think some of the twiggy branches should go....in game 2 blue and red players were standing 20 feet apart exchanging insults knowing the branches will break everything chucked at one another.
the new map (the base i think chris called it) was smooth as hell.....and the designated paths were good.....it meant you could ambush the supply routes to the village and domination point
it will be hard to sort out the mud, but drains would be nice as would greater visual demarcation of boundaries, but id give the day a 9/10 as a woodland player.
