I was one of the blues Sunday and spent the whole day playing in the woods. I cant say i ever saw anyone wiping. on game 3 i was blatting people in the village buildings by the field and i thought i might have hit 2 reds but they didnt go. i kept shooting and knew a marshal was near buy so trusted that i'd missed.

the feugo freeze was BOUNCE TASTIC and i must have had 20 bouncers (many from the death Wombles and a few other red snipers) which i dont mind but must have been frustrating as hell for the shooters.

i saw nothing but fair play and at one point i flushed Ian (ferret) out of a holly bush and we stood their, 20 paces away, blasting eachother. we paint checked one aother, ian only had splatter, i had a shot on my belt i told the blues not to shoot him as he ran back to the lines and i went to the spawn point.

Thats how Domination SHOULD be played and i saw many surrenders and people walking out in the woods all the time.

Other players have said that People need to realise this is a game and not get over the top carried away. A small minority need to assess there attitude to paintball before they put too many people of coming to these Domination days.

I agree . are the 'few' tourney guys?

(contriversial but are they?)

i know for a fact that the unreal team are probably the most dedicated in the industry to make sure EVERYONE has a good day. players come first and where else do you know a site ASKING for feedback and criticism. Compared to Dom 1 the professionalism of the marshals and smooth running of the day was a 1,000 times better.

Im saying this as a player as well as a marshal myself.

the fact only 50 odd people came....it IS winter.... it was wet and numbers will always drop down. but i think it was a great move to restrict the boundaries of the map so the players dont get thinned out too much with the lower numbers.

Its always fun to swap war stories ....i was the blue player in a desert camo jacket and played in the woods all day.if you shot me (or i shot you) let me know.

who were the red players in the bunker on game 2 that i shot out (half way through game 2) when the blues took the bunker off the reds and held for the rest of that game.

i think one was a Womble :)

Domination V oh yes!

its going to get better and keep on at the unreal team to tell them what you want

as a woodsballer, i think some of the twiggy branches should go....in game 2 blue and red players were standing 20 feet apart exchanging insults knowing the branches will break everything chucked at one another.

the new map (the base i think chris called it) was smooth as hell.....and the designated paths were good.....it meant you could ambush the supply routes to the village and domination point :)

it will be hard to sort out the mud, but drains would be nice as would greater visual demarcation of boundaries, but id give the day a 9/10 as a woodland player.

The majority of players down the site make this a great place to play, but it only takes a small number to take the enjoyment out of the day. (Probably why the red’s got penalty paints)

Most are playing by the rules.

id like to see the castle bit sorted out, it was very hard to capture the castle if you started on the one side.

Mainly be cause there was no cover between the bridge and the first decent bunkers.

A couple more bridges would be good and also a couple more bunkers.

A castle on the other side of the stream would rock also :)

well as ive started moaning already

the existing bridges are ropey at best, you need to put chicken wire accross them or summit.

The parking is a nightmare, lots of people had to get out and push there cars out the mud, + its a nightmare getting out of the site as it isnt sign posted and gates and electric fences seam to spring up from no where. (i think parking could be easily sorted if you just switched between parking on the lower feild to the higher feild reguarly so the grass would recover)

But overall a very good walkon, the jacket potato hits the spot at lunch, the marshels are very good, and the gun tech was all to pleased to fix the mountains of ION's that were breaking left right and center.

Righty ho

We will be improving the bridges as soon as we get hold of some more railway sleepers. We are also looking into more ways to make them less slippery. Chickenwire is not an option though. If you went over on that stuff you can say goodbye to your trigger fingers straight away!

As far as car parking goes we understand we need to make big improvements but like KC says, we are on a working farm so anything we do has to be done in full consultation with the farmer. The farm rules the land not the paintball park so any work we do has to be done within certain guidelines. We wouldnt want to upset our lovely cows now would we.

Over the winter we have a big opportunity to do a lot of work at the site as we have smaller punter days and a lot of the foliage is dying off giving us a clearer view of what needs to be done and more time to do it. Expect big changes over the next 2 - 3 months.

We thought the game itself last Sunday went very well although its a shame we had to wrap up early due to it getting dark. Im sure some of you guys would have played on for hours. I know it is difficult to get into the castle field but at the end of the day, like KC demonstrated it is purely a case of pulling your finger out and runing like hell. Jeez if you get shot on your way, run back and have another go! We dont want to take away the sup-air field and go solely woodsball with our walk on because with most people the sup-air/castle combo is a good field to play on. We can build more bridges to get in but it is still down to the teams to do the work and get into the field. Within the first 5mins of every game it was the same people from both teams getting into the field and throwing obsene amouts of paint at each other. Teams need to back their gung ho players up a little and it will become more balanced.

The bottom wood will be ready for play in February so we will be able to make major changes then. Domination at the end of November will incorporate both our sup-air fields, not just the one. Hopefully this will provide more cover for people trying to break into the castle.

Lastly - Although it may seem like I bite back when people have a moan on the forum this is not the case. We love to hear your comments both good and bad. Please continue to let us know what you think as this allows us to change the evil/bad/scary things but more importantly keep the good stuff flowing! We appreciate all the feedback we get from you guys.

Right Im off. Cheers again for another stormer walk on. The domination regulars and the new guys that keep coming are a great bunch! Maybe next time the blue team will win eh......
