Dome switch or LS switch

Hi Rob
the quick way to tell it it you have a switch and green led on the side body its LS. If it has no switch (not factory fitted anyway)and a red led at the front its DS.
Other than that open it up and have a look at the board inside the DS is a small square switch with a rubber button in the middle and the board also has some dip switches mounted on it
The LS has a small metal plate to acturate the switch and the board has pots instead of dip switches

Cheers Bruce, should have known you would be the one to reply. I've had the marker open, sadly it's the old style dome switch....DOH!
Not quite Doh as you think
You can upgrade your shocker to the new board, but you then require a new grip frame and trigger etc approx cost £200 odd plus vat
Or you can change the trigger frame for IPB WERM frame or a HSW Hyper frame, both these frames mount a LS switch behind the trigger and you then solder wires to the Ds board.
The WERM is about £150 odd including VAt etc
the Hypersports is about £180 including Vat etc
I have a WERM on mine and combine with a Delrin bolt its makes the gun so much nicer and easier to shoot.
Im going to be at the next MM at Jamies if you want to give it a try

I wouldn't be trying so hard to change from a dome switch if I were you. I had a dome switch Shocker for quite a while and there wasn't anything at all wrong with it. Why spend more money when a major strong point of a Shocker is its low price?
