I think what's important here is not so much the details of those past events but the spirit in which they were played; Ged oversaw a revolution in our game and became the precursor for the modern game ....
If I were you I'd just use common sense, it was ten man then I think with all the rules of the woodland game imposed upon this new format.
It was a straight flag grab game with points allotted for individual kills and flag grabs but to get max points you had to eliminate all the opposition and get the flag back home.
Details are academic here because it wasn't so much the trivialities of the rules and regs of that game, it was that cutting-edge feeling we all had when playing it ... The atmosphere was nothing like any of us had been used to; as I remember there were fairground rides there, a tattooist, music blaring out and the stands were full, they also had a tannoy system with a guy who used to work at WDP back then and he was really good at whipping up the crowd and commentating on the games as they played I think..... there was just so much going on at those events, it was impossible to not come away with the feeling we were all on the cusp of something big.
I think field sizes were probably something like 50 yds long and about 40 yds wide but don’t quote me here because it’s just a memory guess.
I hope you guys get it together anyway .. good luck, we need Ged back in the front line of our sort, he was a true visionary, that’s for sure.
