hoppers that spurt out 35bps? Why do we need hoppers that go this fast? nobody can get their fingers to go that fast. Also how much must hopper manufacturers be making off us? the z to y - board conversion was just a wire that was cut?!

any thoughts and or views? bit bored really myself so i thought i'd pretend to be intelligent for once....

eh a z board is just a yboard with a wire cut??????

really?

and no i dont think we need hoppers that feed that fast but if increasing the speed of em sells hopper then that what the manufactureres will keep doing

Good point, i remember when markers used to have vertical feed tubes, only to change to angled feeds. Quite a few years this was the best setup, only to go back to the original.

Such a fickle sport.

I'd say yes. We do need hoppers capable of force feeding fast. Although 99% of players can't shoot sustained strings over 11-12 bps (even those with ROF counters  ), you may got the odd 2 or 3 shot burst (bouncy or not) in the 20 bps range. It's worth having the redundancy in your equipment to cover such an eventuality. Lets face it all electros bounce at some point (the user input required to do so is the debatable part), so if you do get the odd ramp you won't chop. That's just my opinion, but lets face it your equipment is only as good as it's weakest link.

Your correct that no one could really shoot at 35 bps, but equipment redundancy / failsafe is a key factor in reliability. Anyway, get Manike to argue this one. he knows stuff.

yea i wasn't saying like cap at 20, i'd say 25 bps is enough for anyone and i'd agree with you about force feed loaders being needed (halo rules! :D) but do you not think that 35 bps is...well ridiculous?

arrgh! wasn't saying i dont like speed (joke in there somewhere  ) just do we actually need boards that do these speeds?

point i just thought of...
in a way does it not encourage people to cheat beacuse their guns can cycle that fast?
