Do lighter guns suffer more from bounce?

Easy answer: yes. Bounce, in the usual definition, basically comes from kick caused by the movement of the internals. If the marker overall is lighter, then it will be more inclined to move in reaction to the movement of the internals, hence more chance of trigger bounce. Of course, lighten the internals and the kick problem is reduced, so really the problem is proportional to the ratio of the weight of the internals to the weight of the marker overall (still following? There will be a short exam at the end of this.) Hence, old-skool shocker (heavy, with light internals) = little kick; stock impulse (light, with overly heavy bolt) = much kick (the impulse is also not helped on this count by being very tall.)

Cool so we agree, lighter markers generally bounce more, (depending on operation and kick) and one way to combat this is to use lighter internals but this in turn leads to bad efficiency?

Interesting, surely it can't have zero kick otherwise whats making it bounce?
Not had much experiance with Timmy's as yet...
