Do i need your help?!

Hi guys im beginning to produce a billboard for a local paintball site, which one i havnt decided yet, but need help from all you ballers on what kinda stuff i should include etc. This is for my A level communication studies coursework! I just think its another excuse to spend time on p8.

Also if any of you out there are good on graphic design etc or actually produce billboards as you job then your help would be much appreciated!

you mean like a big advert thingy??
Rec-ball, or tourney style
you need to get some actiony stuff (ballers running/shooting) site name and a contact number.
Dont forget ballers are simple. too much info (like words longer than 2 sylables) , and theyll get all confused.
its all about composition of the image.....
and wouldnt someone else doing the layout defeat the point of it being your work?

I need to......

I need to gather information from people who play ball both tourney and normal and talk to experts inmy desired area of communication, i.e design etc to discuss the best way to approach this kinda idea!
Come on u ballers prove billy worng and show him you can cope with words longer than two syllables and this is comin froma blonde!!!

Whuts intel..i.g.... uh almost 2 words........

Well billboards need to be attractive, appealing and must catch the eye almost immediatley or u lose peeps.

Set up different sections devoted to each side of paintball, rec & tourney.
If u want pics just skank em off from somewhere.
Show what each side of paintball is about, intro etc and get to the real point of it all........ all out fun/hobby/entertainment.

Mention info on days out, prices equipment etc.
Half-days, full days depends on site.
Whats the facilities on offer?

If you want to jaz it all up create sum neat stuff with flash,java or dreamweaver.

What you have to do is design the layout, and have people look at it.
Once you implement it into HTML you can create Beta versions (not the final design is what it means)
Get people to see if it can be improved, stuff that isnt needed (flashy girly stuff for instance )

Ill get back to this coz im being watched in the library @ college.......teacher commin eek

*snooty voice* one would feel it proper to address the issue from the opinion of the recreational paintballer, and attempt to convey an idealistic impression of sportsmanship, and jolly good fun. Pip pip tally ho.


but really i think youll have alot more joy showing some actiony thing without the emphasis on guns, or kills.

maybe even a caption with a twist. ie

"when the hunters become the hunted"

i dunno this english stuff is too bloody comlpex, im only a baller after all. but you get the idea.

Nothing to do with killing, nothing to do with guns. thats never gonna be good. Maybe ask hotpoint for an oficial input as to prefered ideals of paintball, and public perception, (once hes finished with a dictionary he might be able to help ya)

Thanxs guys keep em comin! I think im either goin to do one of two options .
(1) promote paintball as a sport through this type of adevertising or
(2) Produce a bill board advertisement for a local site to bring the punters in so more rec ball than tourney.

Keep the ideas coming i have to print all this out and rite a kind report on it good job ive got a couple of months eh. Ur responses are much appreciated!

do you mean online billboard, or the road side kind??
that makes a differance to the kinda response you will get.
