I'm just offering an explanation, of course. ;) :p :)

Yes i agree, but if the game is lost say 1 on 4, would you prefer.

a) Maybe take out 1 or 2, then get shot possibly mugged.

or

b)DMW shoot everyone get flag & points.

Well i know what i would take every single time, ive never done 1 but i sure would love 2 pull it of coz a win is a win baby, dont matter how ya get it all anyone ever remembers is the win!

People do remember wins, I guess, but they do remember DMWs, too. In fact, some teams are so scarred by the experience that they start dishing out extra love for everyone.
That is my beef with DMWs, but how would you regulate how someone walks and not have that be crappy? Of course, I could see you guys trying to articulate just that.

Translation--Yes, it's lame and gutless but I'd do it every time. Ouch.

What everybody remembers is respect--win or lose.

Simple. Don't lose to them. If someone gets away with being sneaky, is it anyone's fault but the victims'? You can tell it's coming just like any other move pulled off on the field: the timing is right. Come on. If you can't figure out how to count and why there's 6 out of 7 people in the deadbox and the 7th isn't shooting at you as you run the flag past him YOU DESERVE TO LOSE. I have never seen anyone fall prey to DMW without being overconfident, abscent minded, lacking communication and/or going through the motions instead of going 100% buzzer to buzzer: be that way in ANY sport and you're doomed--why should this be different?

Our team has had probably 5 dmw's pulled on us this season alone. In 2 of those we lost 1 player and in another we lost 2 players. I've told all my guys if you don't see an obvious hit on any player on the field to shoot the player exiting the field once. In Portugal they were using black armbands and again I told my guys to make sure that each player is marked once. The other team and the refs took it as bonus balling, but the way I see it is if they are on the field and they are not signaling they are out then they are fair game.

Nick
Bloody hell Nick & Baca, i didnt think i would have to break it all down for you guys, but here goes.

I will use an exact example from a game Shockwave vs Russian Legion, Jimmy (the sponge) is 1 on 5 down he pulls a DMW and wins the game, now do you really think he could of straight up won?
Nick would you really rather lose the game than pull of a succesful DMW?

Baca a win is a win, and if you ask jimmy he got a lot more respect than disrespect after pulling that move.

If DMW's are lame & gutless then surely playing on and wiping are too becouse its not winning straight up.
Lets say a footballer in the 89th minute pretends to trip in the box wins a penalty scores and wins the game(this happens all the time), then that win was not straight up (the other team was robbed) was it?, so do you think the players, club or fans really care how they win?

If i had the choice, I would rather be a lame & gutless WINNER than a god damn LOSSER any day & if ya gonna use anouther sport as an example try not to use 1 of the most dirty(football) games in the book, does anyone remember the famous Argy hand that cost England BIG!
