I’ve been playing for 6 years now but still when it comes to choosing a marker, I’m completely lost. I interested in purchasing a DMC following the sale of my Speed 05 and the release of the DM6. Of course, I’ll try before I buy but I’m after info from anyone who owns a DMC first hand about their performance, efficiency, upkeep, pit falls etc… Is it worth the money?

The DMC is a great gun but has no difference in performance to a dm5. The cost for the privelage of saving half a sneeze in weight is much higher than the practical worth.

Buy a dm5 and use the money to play. Otherwise the best bet by far is to buy a dm6 which is by far the best marker ever made. It is simply awesome and there is nothing that can even come close.

DMC's are very inconsistent - you can get the ones that are great (ie. it'll rock like a DM5), and you get the ones that are not so great (ie. bits fall off it).

What Hermitt said is spot on: it's not worth the extra money just for a lighter DM5. And if you're considering spending that much money on a gun, why not get hold of a DM6? They just plain kick ass. Oh, that's already been said.

DM5's are down to £699 Retail.

DMC's are now £795 Retail.

The choice is your as to what you prefer. The DMC may not be noticably lighter than the DM5 but the weight is distributed better. Its not as top heavy and feels more balanced.

There are also some more DMC Colours being released in 06.

I am sure you wont be dissapointed with whichever one you choose.

It comes down to personal choice in the end. The DM6 is the latest gun out, but there are people having issues with them, just look on pbNation. They are still working out the wrinkles in my opinion.

That said, get the best gun for your money. I have had a DM5 and now run a DMC, with no problems. When a problem occurs, it is usually an oring issue, no biggy. My gun is very consistent and rips.
If I had to give a downside, it would be that they do not like the cold weather but if you know what you are doing and adjust to suit the weather, its then not an issue.

There are some good prices on DMC's at the minute if you look around with people wanting to jump on the newest marker out bandwagon, take advantage of this fact.

Hope you get what you want.

From what i have seen and the ones that i have shot the dm6 is awesome. By all means try them all but there is no point owning dmc if the dm5 is available.

The dm6 is the best matrix there will ever be and is almost as far as the dm series can be taken. It is smaller, lighter and has upgraded electronics. Dont worry about the 'latest marker' tag, there is another reason people are snapping them up - They are the best gun in the world!
