I have had a few problems with my DM9. It is new with only a case through it so far, it will start firing fine then velocity will half then eventually the balls won’t make it out the barrel. Even with a few seconds between shots it doesn’t get better. I have the lpr on 3 ½ turns out and when I tried to increase the velocity it is adjusted all the way out on the hpr and I can’t get it higher than about 250 fps. It has a new battery installed and the bolt has been lubed. Any help would be great.

Hi

Seems like you are describing shoot down, the faster you shoot the lower the velocity.

This is usually linked to either low battery or the inline reg needs a clean.

I would change the battery again, even 'new' batteries can be annoyingly low in charge some times :-(

Follow the instructions in the manual regarding stripping and cleaning of the inline reg.

Ensure you put the velocity adjuster back to it's stock position before you air up again, if not you could damage your solenoid through a high pressure spike.

You can always contact Rich in the Dye section of the forum. He is a tech and may should be able to help or arrange for the marker to be brought in for servicing.

Regards

Ed

i thought it might be shoot down but then if i stop shooting for ten seconds or so it still hasn't recovered? its defo not getting enough air at some point buts its strange how its not from the off, usually happens when i hit the snake! lol

i thought drop off was only when you were say ramping and obviously the gun can't recharge itself fast enough but once you had stopped firing it would recover but this doesn't seem to be the case and i can't get the velocity up as the reg is maxed out already?

Maybe i misunderstood your post a little. Shootdown is when your vel goes down but does come back up usually when you leave the marker for a few seconds.

Give Rich a pm or post up in the Dye section mate
