Dm7 Leak!

I got a leak on my DM7 as soon as i put the air bottle on it , air starts to shoot out of the On/Off Airport, outa them lil holes inbetween it and the frame ? any1 got a cure for this before i decide to send it off ?

sounds like the o-ring in the oops has gone bad and/or dry.

grap the pin in the airport with either a small socket or a pair of pliers (not the greatest tool to use but may be all that is to hand)

now unscrew the on/off knob and that should unscrew the pin too.

once you get the pin out look in were your bottle went and there should be a brass plate that you can remove with an allen key, take that out.

now you should have the oring exposed (a 007 if i remember correctly), take it out have a look, replace if neccerssary and lube with any dow33 based greese (money spunk FTW)

put it all back andit should hopefully work

Can you work out which hole it is coming from? There are 2 in a line, if it the rear-most one, then you simply need to replace your bottle o-ring, if it is the fore-most one, then as Spangley says, you will need to replace the airport o-ring.

The pin can be removed using a 3/16'' socket, and the brass plate underneath will require a 3/16'' allen key to remove. Simply replace the o-ring in there, re-fit the brass plate, apply lube to the pin and re-fit that also.

sorted now guys it was the oring in the airport it was bone dry

o and wat size o ring are you sposed to put on an air bottle ? just wanna no if i got the right size lol

Generally its an 015 BN70, but it always pays to check with the manufacturer, as sometimes things vary from brand to brand
