Got a couple of problems and wondered if anybody had come across them before and knows a quick fix.

1) Marker not firing when you pull the trigger but randomly firing on its own, this happens even when pressing the trigger switch instead of the trigger. Basically the trigger is not activating the solenoid on every pull, all wires and connections are sound.

2) Had this problem with 3 of our markers, the eyes randomly show that theres something in the breach, eyes are clean and alligned, batteries are new and there seems no pattern as to when they will go, when it happens during a game it slows the rof right down and makes the marker run on?! Cables and connections again are sound.

Getting them tech'd in madrid but just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Cheers

prob number 2:

a team mate had that same problem this weekend. The paint we were using had left a litttle oil/grease on the eeyes deflecting the beam so that it hought there was paint in the gun. used a bit of acetone to clean the eyes worked a treat. also if you use reballs a lot they can scratch the eye covers making them mis read

...you also seem to be adept at breaking guns!!!

:D

Check that the board has not been pushed against the eye button when you last replaced the battery.

This can cause problems as the gun will just keep switching between eyes on and eyes off mode. To fix just loosen the board screws and tighten while pushing the board "away" from the buttons on the grip frame.

Take your eye covers off and clean between the eye carrier and the eye.

let me know how you get on.

Funnily enough none of them are mine lol:D , It's been sweeet since day 1.

I've checked all the above initially and still no joy,the eyes are spotless. Its not that the eye is switching off, ie flashing red, it shows solid green and then flashing green when fired. Its strange that its intermitent.

Any Ideas on the first problem Jeff?.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. If you are sure that the wires are ok then it could be a dry solder joint on the board. Its hard to say without seeing the guns although it isnt something that I have come across before.
